Achieve Results with Expert Support
Susan
Edwards usually meets personally with the families of clients to discuss
individual needs. In these meetings, and subsequent meetings and/or
phone calls, Ms. Edwards learns as much as possible about the student
and family which guides her throughout the process. A collaborative
effort, choosing the right
institution
or program can be an emotional decision. A seasoned placement professional
facilitates the experience. Identifying a place where a student can
grow and succeed is Ms. Edwards’ first major goal. Her job does
not have to end here.
Ms. Edwards then mentors her clients through the application process,
teaches self-advocacy skills and how to tap into resources. Her most
successful clients develop a sense of competency that permits them
to access guidance not only from outside, but also from inside themselves.
