AND THERAPEUTIC ADVOCACY AND COUNSELING |
Susan
Edwards has significant expertise in working with students with
learning differences, and/or those who have emotional, behavioral
or physical difficulties. She is experienced at analyzing and interpreting
school transcripts, standardized testing, psycho-educational evaluations,
and Individual Education Plans. After identifying developmentally
appropriate settings with qualified, caring staff, Ms. Edwards advocates
strongly for the student. Ms. Edwards recommends appropriate tutors,
therapists and testing professionals. Conferencing with other concerned
professionals is frequently part of the process. Recognizing that
academic competency and self-esteem are closely connected, and essential
to growth, she seeks to find programs that develop and foster both.

solution for these troubled teenagers, monitoring progress after
the placement, and making changes if necessary. This confidential
intervention brings direction to families. |
